This is an interactive, practical, workshop to help teams to formulate hypothesis and plan how to test them. Theory and practice will be integrated, with the aim of participants understanding the concepts and apply the learning. They will explore through examples the Importance of a good business hypothesis.

More specifically they will learn:

  • Characteristics of a good hypothesis (testable, precise and discrete)

  • How to create feasible, desirable, viable and sustainable hypotheses

  • How to use the Sustainable Business model canvas to create hypotheses

  • How to map assumptions and identify risk.

  • How to select and frame testable hypotheses

  • How to prioritise and select relevant, meaningful and testable hypotheses

  • How to frame and re-frame the selected hypothesis.

At the end of the workshop participants will be set a short assignment (1-week), where they should work with their business colleagues to map different types of hypothesis for their pilot, prioritise them and select their key testable hypothesis going forward. Templates will be provided to help them with the process.
